Discontinued Colors
Before we get to the newly added colors, there are two colors that we are discontinuing with the software update because there just wasn't much demand, Candlelight and Hard Rock Maple. (Note - Candlelight will also be discontinued in Private Label Garage Cabinets)
And over the last year or two, just to recap, there were a few that were discontinued by Arauco Prism, two wood grains (Burlap and Charred Oak) and one solid color (Umbra).
New Melamine Colors
We have added seven melamine colors to the lineup, four solid colors, and three wood grains. The solid colors also have a matching powder for doors and drawer fronts.

Powder Texture
We have been powder coating MDF since 2007. In the last 3 years we have seen more technology improvements to the powder we use, than in the 15 years prior to this. Smooth matte finishes have always been difficult, so matching the texture of melamine has always been a challenge... until now.
The texture of all of the new solid colors and all the old solid colors is changing to a texture that matches the melamine much better. As mentioned this includes all the new colors and the old colors listed below (this does not include any of the hammertone finishes, they will stay as is):
- Frosty White
- Black Matte
- Folkstone Grey
- Dove Grey
- Mysterious
- Antique White
- Sienna
The texture is a smoother matte finish that is much more fingerprint resistant which will be a selling point for darker colors especially.
While moving forward with improvements is always good, keep in mind that if you are adding to an existing job or replacing doors the texture is different, so be aware.
Also we have some powder with the old texture that we will be using up, and we are still waiting on some new powder to come in... so exact dates of when the new finish will start will vary.
Samples will be sent out to Redline Closet dealers in the next couple of weeks.
