Replacement / Warranty Parts Process

We strive to provide quality parts and package them in a way as to arrive to you safely and undamaged. Despite our best efforts, from time to time there is a need for replacement and / or warranty parts.

Typically, these situations can be divided into 4 categories (see below). If you find yourself in need of replacement / warranty parts, please follow the instructions under the category that best fits your situation. Doing so will ensure you get the parts you need quickly, accurately, and in the most efficient manner!

Replacement parts needed that are not warrantied

  1. Place an order through RPM, as you would any other order.
  2. This would include parts you damage during an install you are currently working on.

Replacement parts that were damaged during shipping*

(Note: If damage was not properly documented in writing on the receiving shipping paperwork, you will be responsible for the cost of replacing the parts)

  1. Place an order utilizing RPM and let us know the parts were damaged during shipping.
  2. Provide pictures of the actual labels from the damaged parts.

(In our preferred order)

Replacement parts for a job you are currently installing that are warrantied due to a quality issue*

  1. Place an order utilizing RPM and let us know the parts are warrantied due to quality.
  2. Provide pictures of the actual labels from the parts.
  3. If neither of the first 2 options are possible or feasible at the time, send a detailed email with the job name and number, as labeled on the order, and list the parts required.

(In our preferred order)

Warranty parts from a previous / past job*

  1. Place an order utilizing RPM and state in the email that the order is for warranty parts.

*In all instances of replacement parts that are warrantied, pictures will be required. These are not only used to verify the warranty, but also to help us determine how the issue transpired and what we can do in the future to prevent it.

How To Update RPM To Reflect Upcoming Price Increase

It’s almost time for the price increase to take effect, which means you’ll need to update your software to reflect that increase.

Before we get to the RPM software update instructions, there are a couple of important factoids you need to know…

  1. If you have not worked with Von Ortiz to update your RPM software from Microsoft Access 2003 to Microsoft Access 2010, DO NOT CONTINUE! Please contact Von immediately to have this very important change made before you proceed.
  2. If you have worked with Von and your RPM has been updated to Access 2010, you can proceed. But before you do so, please run your current version of RPM and note the ‘Mark-ups’ you are using in the ‘Garage’, ‘Closet’, and ‘Private Label’ lines (you’ll find your ‘mark-ups’ under the ‘Dealer Info’ tab for each product line). The new install will override these values and you will need to reset them.
  3. It would also be a good idea to document (print out) any quotes that you currently have active because the ‘dynamic pricing’ logic will change these quotes to the new pricing when you into the ‘tab’ screen of RPM.

All set? Great!
