Are You Providing Us With Your Customer Information?

It has come to my attention that some of our local agents have not been very diligent about providing customer contact information when submitting new RedLine Purchase Orders. This is integral information that we absolutely need for a number of reasons I will address in just a moment.

Before you finish creating a RedLine Purchase Order, you should see this screen:

The form pictured above needs to be completed in its entirety before you submit your purchase order. If you have been submitting customer orders without completing the customer information form, I implore you to begin doing so immediately!

Now, I’m sure some of you may be wondering why we need this information at all. Well, there are actually three very specific reasons for it.

  1. Warranty Issues – As you know, RedLine garagegar carries a Lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty. For every order, we send an email to the customer with complete details on how the warranty works and what to do if it needs to be used (click the link to check out the Redline Garagegear Warranty Information Email). We cannot send that valuable information to the customer if we don’t have at least an email address. Plus, if at some point down the road you decide to retire or that you don’t like us anymore, we will still honor the customers’ warranties. It would be very difficult to do that though if we don’t have a record of their purchase in our system.
  2. Customer Feedback – Positive customer feedback is something that drives our business forward. After an order has been produced, shipped, and installed, we follow up with the customer to ask them how their project went (click the link to check out the How are we doing Email). Good feedback gives us all something to show other potential customers and validates the quality of our product and services. Mediocre / bad feedback allows us to make adjustments where needed and move forward with an eye towards improving our product and services. Without the proper customer information, however, we cannot do this all-important step.
  3. New Product Updates – While it hasn’t happened so far in the 10+ years we’ve been in business, it isn’t outside the realm of possibility for there to be a product recall situation. If that were to happen, we would need to be able to contact every one of our past customers. Also, we’re constantly developing and releasing new products. If we have the customer information, we can introduce those new products to our customers and send them right back to you!

As you can hopefully see, providing us with the customer information is imperative! Please make sure you are doing so for every purchase order you submit to us. And know that we sincerely appreciate your cooperation with this. We can’t do this without you!

A Couple Powder Changes

There are a couple of changes relative to ‘powder’ that need to be addressed…

  • ‘Primary Red’
    • We have decided to revise the finish from a ‘matte’ to a ‘hammer-tone’. The color will remain the same, only the texture is changing. The new texture will be similar to the ‘New Burgundy’ and ‘Royal Blue’ powders. This change was made for two reasons:
      • We felt the ‘matte’ finish in this color was a rather bland look; which may be a reason for the very small demand we have seen for it so far. We are hopeful that the texture change will give more ‘character’ to the aesthetics.
      • The ‘hammer-tone’ finish tends to be more durable than the ‘matte’ finish.
    • All purchase orders moving forward will be fulfilled with the new ‘hammer-tone’ finish. If you would like a sample of this new finish please contact us and we will get one out to you.
  • ‘Primary Blue’
    • We have decided to discontinue offering this powder coat color as a ‘stock color’. We have not had any orders for, or even interest in it since first introducing this new color option several months ago.
    • If you have samples of this color, feel free to discard them. This finish can still be had as a ‘custom color’; however, please be aware that there are additional costs associated with using a ‘non-stock color’.
