What is ACH?

Great question! ACH stands for Automated Clearing House and is an electronic network used to make financial transactions between two or more parties. Wikipedia describes it even more eloquently as: a computer based clearing and settlement facility established to process the exchange of transactions between participating depository institutions.

Now in layman's terms at its simplest form, an ACH is the moving of funds from one account to another. So, that's what ACH is. Now let's get into why it matters at all to you.

ACH is quite possibly the easiest (and safest) way for you to pay for your orders and it happens to be the method we prefer to take your money :).

The way it works is you set up a new checking account at your bank and call it ACH. Whenever you place an order with us, all you would need to do is move funds from your main account to the ACH account. We would then do an ACH transaction to transfer the funds from your account to ours.

It really is that simple! Plus you have the added benefits of: never having to share information about your main accounts with us; not having to pay any additional fees or surcharges; and having full control over how much is available in your ACH account at any given time.

Just so you know, we do accept credit cards also; however, there is an additional 2.8% fee for doing so. And that only covers part of the cost for a credit card transaction. We're picking up the tab for the rest. With ACH everyone wins all the way around.

Got questions or need help getting this set up? Our very own Von Ortiz is the resident ACH guru here at Redline HQ. Just contact him by phone (815-624-0288) or email (vortiz[at]greenbergcustomcabinets.com) and he'll get you all fixed up :).

Placing orders to Redline

This is not really new news, but just a reminder.

When placing orders to Redline please attach the TXT and RTF files created in RPM to the email and send to orders[at]redlinegaragegear.com. We are seeing a number of orders being placed in the ‘body’ of an email, listing the items required, rather than the attachments that we request.

I know it might seem a bit of a pain to open RPM and enter the items and then send the attachments, (especially for small orders), but it is a big help to us if you do follow the appropriate procedures. It also reduces the chances of us making a mistake.

Thank you!
